It’s time to reveal another new project that was built throughout 2022. This one was a beautiful home with a traditional frontage and classic interior features from fretwork in the hallways to decorative architraves and cornicing and original fireplaces. We wanted to retain the essence of the original home but also connect a new back extension and first floor addition. Making this a much larger family home.

My clients were keen to connect the old with the new but also bring in some fresh contemporary finishes that would make for a light, bright space for modern living. We introduced bright white joinery paired with textural stones, oak floors, vgroove detailing and original light fixtures.

As you can see in the kitchen, living and dining spaces we worked with a large room that you stepped down into that led out to the back garden and pool. Off to the side is a huge laundry/mudroom, and behind the new stairs a new bathroom.

We brought in a wonderful new gas fireplace for those colder months, and created a feature of this by using the same stone as in the kitchen for the joinery benchtop and wrapping vgroove panelling in this deep blue around the fireplace.

The new bathroom also reflected the tones from the main back room with fresh greys, lots of natural like from a huge skylight above and the gorgeous bule feature tile

The rooms at the front of the house got a make over, with new floors, paint, window coverings and furniture. These are bedrooms used by the children and guests.

And then on the new upper floor is a big main bedroom, walk in robe, ensuite and separate home office. A light filled space the we wrapped in this soft sage green and introduced some luxurious finishes such as this natural marble feature tile in the ensuite.

I couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome of this project, and my clients are over the moon with their new home. This provides them with an organised, calm, beautiful space to come home to each and every day.
