I’ve been looking forward to getting this project up on my website and blog. This is a design that I started through covid in 2020 and the renovation started mid year 2020. With delays on materials and furnishings it’s taking longer than usual to finish everything but finally I have had the photography done and I can share with you this wonderful home along with some before pics!

This was a GP surgery with a family home attached. The brief was to make it one large family home and create connection and flow especially in the ground floor area. To do this we took down some central walls connecting the entry to the dining and huge open plan kitchen and sitting area. By opening up this space and closing up some external entry points all of a sudden it felt like one home.

Off of this main kitchen, dining and sitting area we have a large family room and at the other end a formal lounge. These didn’t change too much just connecting through installing the same timber flooring, decorating and furnishing. Our main focus was to bring in brushed golds, navy blues and warm tones using tan leathers, burnt oranges and fresh whites and greys.

The new main bedroom and ensuite was a real win. We took the walk in robe and ensuite and made this into one large ensuite. Then we took the bedroom that sat at the back of the main bedroom closed up an opening and made this a large walk in robe, this truly is a lovely main bedroom suite for the home.

We also renovated the existing main bathroom to be used by the kids with a similar feel to the ensuite and ground floor bathroom.

All bedrooms got a face lift with new joinery, painting and new window coverings and lighting. And the downstairs powder room got a facelift too, we added vjay boards, tiled, new fixtures and voila it feels like a whole new space.

This is a characterful home, beautiful on the outside and now just as beautiful and practical for family living on the inside. I couldn’t be happier for my clients with the outcome, and to see their joy when I visited once they had moved in was an absolute delight for me.
