Hi All, I’ve been quiet of late as this is generally the busiest time of year in my industry. People are trying to get their homes ready and finished before entertaining over Christmas and to go into the new year having finished the rooms they’ve been meaning to get to all year.
I’ve been busy finishing up a couple of projects over the past few weeks. These are clients homes where I was asked to add a layer of decoration to either already existing pieces or furnish complete rooms. Both of these projects are completely different in terms of style, once super contemporary the other very traditional.
Both projects required colour consultations to re-paint, add in window coverings and new lighting. Then we sourced pieces of furniture such as occasional chairs, tables, built in cabinetry, rugs, and artwork to really finish the spaces off.
I’ve pictured below three rooms, in one project a sitting area in a parent retreat. You can see from the below before and after pictures that this was a straight forward paint, lighting and furnishings project but the transformation was awesome.
In the second project I’ve pictured before and after shots of the master bedroom but focusing on the ceiling paintwork detail and lighting, it’s amazing what a new paint job and lighting can do to a room. And then in this project we focused on a formal foyer area, creating a welcoming entry into this beautifully traditional home.
