Hi all. I’ve been taking an online course for the past few weeks. It’s a course with a focus on styling for photography, however it’s proving to be a great refresher for me around ensuring I follow the process at all times when pulling together a design for a room. What we talked about last week was the importance of mood boards and pulling together your design in the form of a physical sample board or an electronic board.
I always compile electronic boards for my clients by room, and when needed I also collate sample boards. Don’t miss this step out when designing for yourself, it’s so important as it can really help you curate your look and feel. You can immediately see if something isn’t working, and it also gives you the chance to edit and add where needed.
Take a look at some of these designs and snaps of the finished rooms to give you an idea on how these can really translate into a space. Enjoy!
