Family home in Riverview

Hi All, I’ve been working with a wonderful family since January this year after they moved into a 5 bedroom property in Riverview. The property is well built with quality finishes but it lacked style or any wow factor. My brief was to bring the home up to date and inject some wow through key features such as lighting, finishes, and colour.

We have just completed the first phase of the renovation which included renovating the main 1st floor bathroom, creating a new look entryway and stairs, installing his and hers walk in robes in the master bedroom, decorating and adding in new robes to the 3 other bedrooms, and finally turning the last bedroom into a study/guest room. I’ve also furnished a media room and sitting area.

In each room we’ve created engagement through a key feature. It might be a wallpaper, a chandelier, or interesting cabinetry, but we wanted to ensure each room had a focal point and that all of the rooms had a nice flow in terms of textures and colours. The general feel is a modern style with a touch of scandi. What does this mean?  Well we are using mostly light American Oak timbers throughout, clean lines, and plenty of light and dark for balance.

The next phase is a back extension, and a new design for the kitchen, laundry, pantry, dining and main lounge areas. I’m looking forward to sharing all of the final pictures here at the end of the year. In the meantime here are some interim shots of some of the completed rooms.
