Working in this industry I’m so lucky to stumble upon fabulous suppliers, craftsman, designers and artists. They come to me through so many different ways and means. More recently I’ve been working with a beautiful local artist Kate Clarkson who is a friend of one of my clients from earlier this year.
Art is such a personal thing to source for a client, beauty really is only in the eye of the beholder when it comes to artwork and so my reach in this space needs to be far and wide. Kate’s pieces however are super versatile and can work in with many styles and projects. She paints beautiful bright abstracts that are dramatic and eye catching. Her use of colour is extremely sophisticated and the way she creates energy through her oils and composition on the canvas is inspiring. Kate more recently has been painting still-life such as flowers, animals as well as landscapes. These new works have Kate written all over them, even her most recent landscapes use abstract colours and lines to portray the beautiful scenes of Queenstown, New Zealand.
One of my clients has just purchased a piece from Kate’s gallery for her lounge room, and I have another client who has commissioned a piece for her dining room, and I suspect this will be the first of many for her home. What they are receiving is a unique piece for their space, something that reflects their personality and appreciation for art. Check out the pictures below of some of Kate’s current work.
I love to support local artists and suppliers, so why not think about Kate’s work for your home. For more information you can contact me on [email protected], or Kate directly through her website, click here.
