Lounge room transformation

Oct 12, 2015 | Anoushka's Blog, Interior design and decoration

Hi All,

I’m coming to the end of a number of interior design and interior decoration projects at the moment, the big push before Christmas to get homes finished and ready for the festive period. So although I won’t get them all professionally photographed I will share with you my snaps of the rooms coming together.

This one that I finished last week was for a beautiful family home in Pymble. The home was designed by an architect with wonderful proportions, flow through to the outside from every downstairs living area, and a lovely sense of light and spaciousness. As this home was built some years ago a few selections where looking dated. So I assisted with the design of a new entertainment unit to replace the original piece where the timber used was a little red for our colour palette and the design wasn’t quite working for my client. We also furnished this room with large proportioned pieces creating a lovely family area. Take a look at the below pictures for the before and after.

The rug was custom made in our colour palette by The Rug Collection, the sofa and chairs were from King Furniture, and the coffee table is a Max Sparrow piece, for more information on this piece and other Max pieces click here. Finished off with Designer boys artwork and custom made cushions. The entertainment unit was made by Castlewood Kitchens using a mixture of polyuretahne and a Polytec Ravine finish. Such a calm space to enjoy family time together.
