Hi All, it’s been a while since I posted here. So thought I would show you a lttle project that was a very special one to work on, mainly due to it’s location. Set in a wonderful location looking over the water in Mosman, NSW. The home was in need of a kitchen update, and whilst we didn’t move too many of the services we gave the floors and overhaul with a sand and refinish and installed a brand new kitchen.

My client was keen to avoid a kitchen that bounced too much of the natural sunlight that baths this space. It’s already a very bright room so we chose finishes that would absorb some of this light making it an enjoyable space to work in. We were also mindful of longevity in the finishes we chose as over time UV light would fade more inferior materials. We used NAV Urban Diamond finish for the majority of the joinery in the sun drenched area (that’s the timbergrain joinery in the island an back run), and then a soft green/grey polyurethane as the backdrop of the rest of the kitchen. This materials palette really connects with the external environment of this home and felt like a natural direction to move in.

And then on the lower floor we renovated an existing ensuite part of a main bedroom suite. The materials that we chose for the ensuite would flow into future renovations of other bathrooms in the home. It was important to continue the earthy, grounded and very understated materials palette here, as from each room in this home the view need to take front and centre stage.

Again we continued with the NAV finish for the joinery, and paired in a warm colour based tile with a fresh white kitkat tile for a feature wall. Nothing takes away from that stunning view across the water.

I couldn’t be more delighted with the outcome of this project, and my clients were also so happy with the results in the new areas.
