Hi All, I wanted to talk today about popular colour palettes and doing things a little differently. As an interior designer and decorator I would say that 80% of my clients want to stick to the neutral, or very much what’s on trend. Of late that has been the colour tones, lots of greys, crisp whites, and every shade of blue you can imagine. Don’t get me wrong I get it, we live in a hot climate and a lot of us live very close to water so these colours make sense, right? But I can’t tell you how pleased I am when I get those clients that want something a little different, I love the fact that these clients aren’t afraid to break away from the trend and stamp their own personalities onto their homes.

I’m obsessed with this colour board at the moment, most of the fabrics on here are from a new collection by Warwick, and I’m chuffed to say I’ve just specified the orange and charcoal geometric and florals into 2 designs I’m working on right now. And I just can’t wait to see how they come together.

Below are the fabric designs I’m referring to, it’s refreshing to see that suppliers are bringing through more orange, warmer greys, reds, tobacco and terracotta colours that work so well with copper, brass and golds. These are my favourite colours to play with so why not give it a try?
